Erbil is the fourth largest city in Iraq after Baghdad, Basra and Mosul. It is the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan. The Kurdistan Region is autonomous region in federal Iraq. It borders Syria to the west, Iran to the east and Turkey to the north.
